Sources say the actress has gained five pounds in a week since she stopped taking the drug at the Betty Ford Clinic.
She is complaining that she can’t stop eating and has no energy.
Lohan says Adderall is the only thing that helps her with her ADHD but the doctors want her on a less addictive drug.

30-year-old choreographer Wade Robson claims that Michael Jackson molested him for seven years and that the King of Pop told him he'd go to jail for the rest of his life if he told anyone about it.
In an interview on the “Today” show, Robson called Jackson 'a pedophile and a child sexual abuser' and said he chose to finally break his silence after having his own son two years ago.
He claimed from the age of seven to around 14, "Jackson performed sexual acts on me and forced me to perform sexual acts on him."
He also explained, “This is not a case of repressed memory. I have never forgotten one moment of what Michael did to me, but I was psychologically and emotionally completely unable and unwilling to understand that it was sexual abuse.”

Michael Jackson’s ex wife, Debbie Rowe, says that she doesn't believe Jackson molested Wade Robson.
She said, "I was angered that Wade Robson reversed his sworn testimony from court in 2005, and now claims to be a victim of sexual abuse."
She said, "His publicity-seeking attempt is opportunistic and just oozes falseness."
Rowe says this won’t blemish Michael’s legacy, adding, "It will be quickly forgotten, and will do nothing, nothing to tarnish Michael's extraordinary legacy."
Lindsay Lohan has been sentenced to a full 90 days of rehab at Betty Ford but her father hopes to break her out of the court-ordered treatment center as soon as possible.
Michael Lohan says, “I am going to go to California and I want to meet with Lindsay’s attorney Shawn and the City Attorney to talk about her transferring to the Lukens Institute.”
Although Lindsay must spend 90 days in the treatment center, her father isaid, “It is ridiculous for Lindsay to spend 90 days at Betty Ford. They are a 30-day program place. There is no reason for her to repeat the same program for three months.”
He added, “She’s been to Betty Ford and it isn’t going to help her this time. She needs real help and the only place she can get this is at Lukens.”
As of right now, if she leaves the center, she will be violating her probation.

According to a study, only 28 of speaking roles in Hollywood films belong to women.
Despite the successes of Hollywood blockbusters like "The Hunger Games", "Twilight" and "Bridesmaids", speaking roles for women in movies have hit a five-year low. Men are now being given more than 70 per cent of speaking roles in films.
The female speaking roles are going to teenagers showing a lot of skin. The majority of these female roles are for women aged 21-39.
Only 6% of the top grossing films of the year featured a balanced cast with women represented in all speaking roles.
Zac Efron and Amber Heard will star in the car-chase thriller “Autobahn."
An American backpacker (Efron) becomes a pick-up driver for a pan-European drug cartel. Candice Glover is the new "American Idol" ... beating country singer Kree Harrison.
The 23-year-old R&B vocalist from St. Helena Island, S.C., acknowledged it too "three times" before she made it to the finals of the Fox singing competition.
Thursday's finale also served as a farewell for Randy Jackson, the show's only remaining original judge who announced last week that he's leaving "Idol".
Jackson said,"I love everybody that walked on this show... Hopefully, I touched their lives a little bit. They certainly touched mine."
Former "Idol" finalist Jennifer Hudson returned for Thursday's finale to duet with Candice Glover on Natalie Cole's "Inseparable."
Second-place runner-up Angie Miller teamed with "Idol" alum Adam Lambert to perform "Titanium".
Janelle Arthur and The Band Perry rocked out on stage, performing “Done.”
‘American Idol‘ judge Keith Urban sang his current single ‘Little Bit of Everything’, and also joined Kree Harrison For ‘Where the Blacktop Ends’.
Steve Carell made a surprise return to "The Office" on the series finale.
The actor, who played Michael Scott for seven of the NBC comedy's nine seasons, reprised his character in to make a surprise appearance at the wedding of Dwight (Rainn Wilson) and Angela (Angela Kinsey).
Jim (John Krasinski) was set to be Dwight's best man but played a prank on Dwight, in which he said the best man was supposed to be someone older and he wasn't going to be able to perform the duties.
Dwight turned around to find Michael standing in the doorway.
Dwight said, "I can't believe you came."
Replied Michael, "That's what she said."
Michael later told the cameras of his former co-workers: "I feel like all my kids grew up and then they married each other. It's every parents' dream."
Mindy Kaling and B.J. Novak also reprised their characters of on-again/off-again couple Kelly and Ryan on the finale (they left "on again"). Carell's wife, Nancy, also made a cameo as her realtor character Carol, Scott's ex-girlfriend.
However, Scott's wife Holly, played by Amy Ryan, didn't appear on the episode, but it was revealed they have kids together -- and he's had to buy two phones to hold all the pictures he's taken of them.

Will.I.Am talked about starting work on Britney Spears's new album, and said it's happening sooner than later.
He said: "We start next week. Before we even start we've had these juicy sessions, where we've been bonding, building the trust and comfort. I've never worked like this before – not even the Peas."
"I wanted to just go to lunch for two months, which is totally different from how you typically do it. I said, 'Let's talk about what you're excited about. Let's talk about things you've done in your career, what you're happy about. Let's talk about spending time with your kids, let's talk about your breakup. Let's talk about how now you're single, how independent you might feel.' We started talking about all that stuff. So I said, 'do you mind if I write this down? I don't mean to impose but I want to interview you. I need this to create a filter.'"
"Knowing Britney's personal life, when people start bringing us stuff, I can say 'Actually we can't have this song. Yes, we want dance songs but that's a little too dark.' I want it to fit with the emotions. I'm really excited about that and honored that she trusts me. I don't want to let her down. I just want to do it the way a brand would do it. They wouldn't say, 'Take this. Put it out.' That's not what you would do. You'd come up with a mood board, the logos, the font, all the other stuff."
Demi Lovato wants the world to know she's a warrior, and she's got the tattoo to prove it.
Demi shared a picture of a new shoulder tattoo with the phrase "now I'm a warrior." It's a tribute to her track "Warrior" off her fourth studio album.
She said: "I have a song on my album called 'Warrior,' and it's a very, very meaningful song to me. It's really heavy, the lyrics, but it's an inspirational song as well. It was kind of like a tribute to releasing an album, as well as overcoming some really, really difficult things in my life."
Carly Rae Jepsen came to the defense of her mentor Justin Bieber, who has been dealing with a lot of negative publicity in the last few months.
Carly Rae was asked to comment about Bieber's problems and she said: "All I see is an incredibly hard worker and a man who's just passionate about what he does. He's just putting it on himself to take on a lot all at once. I think if anything I'm inspired by how hard he works, and I definitely want to add that to my own mantra as just like working really hard and doing my thing."
Backstreet Boys premiered their new single "Permanent Stain" on ABC's Good Morning America.
They also confirmed that their new album "In a World Like This" will drop July 30th.
Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were spotted partying at a Los Angeles hot spot on Tuesday night.
An insider claims that the two came in with security around 11:30 p.m. through the private back entrance.
Gomez was wearing "a sexy club dress and [Biebs] was wearing a T-shirt, chain and high-tops" for their evening out.
The couple held hands, danced and enjoyed themselves, but after a brief conversation with the club's manager, they decided to leave.
Dancer-choreographer Wade Robson claims Michael Jackson befriended him when he was a child and he was witness to the superstar as a "a pedophile and a child sexual abuser."
Robson is trying to cash in on Jackson's estate for child sex abuse and talked about his claims on NBC's "Today" show.
30-year-old Robson testified and denied at Jackson's child molestation trial in 2005 that he had been molested by him. Two months after Jackson's death in 2009, Robson said they had "a wonderful relationship" and he called Jackson "a kind human being."
Yesterday, he said: "This is not a case of repressed memory. I never forgot one moment of what Michael did to me, but I was psychologically and emotionally completely unable and unwilling to understand that it was sexual abuse. "
Robson says the abuse started when he was 7-years-old, when he visited Jackson's Neverland Ranch. It continued until he was 14.
Robson said: "He performed sexual acts on me and forced me to perform sexual acts on him. He would call me every day and role play and tell me the same sort of things and also tell me then that if anyone ever thought that we did these things, any of these sexual things, that both of us would go to jail for the rest of our lives."
"From day one of the abuse, Michael told me that we loved each other and that this was love, that this was an expression of our love. And then you follow that up with 'but if you ever tell anyone what we're doing, both of our lives and our career will be over.'"
Robson knew it was time to talk when he became a father two and a half years ago. He said he "collapsed into two nervous breakdowns, terrifying nervous breakdowns" in his son's first 18 months.
He said: "At that point I had no idea what was wrong with me, what was going on. During the second one, this thing happened where I started looking at him and imagining him being a victim of the sexual abuse that I was at the hands of Michael. For the first time in my life, I began to realize that my completely numb and unexplored feelings in relationship to what Michael did to me might be a problem and maybe I need to speak to someone about it."
"I understand completely how hard it is to understand this. That being said, the idea that I would make all of this up and put myself, my wife, my son, my entire family through this extremely stressful and painful experience all for the sake of money is completely incomprehensible. I've lived in silence and denial for 22 years, and I can't spend another moment in that. In order to truly heal I have to speak my truth and speak the whole truth. That's one thing you'll never see from me. I'm never going to go away with this for the sake of money. I'm never going to be silenced for money. That's not going to happen."
"There's no excuse for what he did to me and I believe many others, but he was a troubled man and every effect has its cause. The image that one presents to the world is not the whole explanation of who someone is. Michael Jackson was, yes, an incredibly talented artist with an incredible gift. He was many things. And he was also a pedophile and a child sexual abuser."
Michael Jackson's estate said: "Mr. Robson has adamantly denied under oath and in numerous interviews over the past 20 years that Michael Jackson ever did anything inappropriate to him. He now wants us to believe that he committed perjury at least twice and has been lying to anyone and everyone about Mr. Jackson since the early '90s so he can file a claim for money. Mr. Robson's transparent lawsuit comes nearly four years after Michael passed."
Jackson was acquitted of child molestation charges in 2005, mostly based on the testimony of Robson, his sister and his mother.
