Donald Trump has won an ugly legal battle with Miss USA contestant Sheena Monnin, who claimed the pageant was “fixed” and “trashy"... and she must pony up $5 MIL.
Former Miss Pennsylvania Monnin quit the competition in June, claiming another contestant had seen a list containing the top five winners before they were officially announced. She blasted the pageant as “fraudulent, lacking in morals, inconsistent and in many ways trashy.”
Trump fired back that he was suing on behalf of the Miss Universe Organization, which filed an arbitration action in New York.
Late last week, a retired US District Court Magistrate ruled that Monnin defamed the Miss Universe Organization, and awarded it $5 million in damages. He found that “the method in which the Miss USA Pageant is judged . . . precludes any reasonable possibility that the judging was rigged.” Katz stated that Monnin’s “defamatory” statements “were false” and, “showed a reckless disregard.”
Trump called Monnin’s actions “disgraceful” and said, “We cannot allow a disgruntled contestant to make false and reckless statements which are damaging to the many people who have devoted their hearts and souls to the Miss Universe, Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageant systems.”
Trump added, "while I feel very badly for Sheena, she did the wrong thing. She was really nasty, and we had no choice. It is an expensive lesson for her.”
Olivia Culpo went on to win the USA pageant, and will compete in the Miss Universe pageant tomorrow.

The future Mr. Mariah Carey explained, “This was my issue. We talked about this tape, and she told me there was no tape. If she might have been honest with me, I might have tried to hold her down and be like ‘That was before me’ because she is a great girl.”
He added, “She’s actually one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. But the fact that she lied and told me there was no tape?”
Nick also said that he thinks she may have even had a part to play in the tape going public and that "she’s a great businesswoman.”

Britney Spears might be one and done as judge on “X Factor".
Sources say the pop star will leave the show after this week's two-night grand finale, along with fellow judge LA Reid.
A Fox exec said, "Simon had hoped Britney would be a ratings boost but that simply hasn't happened. It's no coincidence she is not in talks about a new deal."
The exec added, "She just doesn't seem to be cut out for a TV talent show.”
NBC execs are rumored to be "quietly" exploring the option of replacing "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno with "Late Night" comedian Jimmy Fallon when Leno's contract expires in 2014.
If the rumor is true, it will be the third time that Jay Leno's "Tonight Show" throne has been threatened by Fallon.
Since Leno has been the host, "The Tonight Show" has returned to the top of the ratings, although overall ratings for late night shows have declined in recent years.

Clinton will cooperate with the film that Scorsese will produce and direct.
HBO didn’t release an air-date for the documentary.

Britney Spears is about to being dumped by her fiancé Jason Trawick, but she's going to be the last one to know!
Apparently, Jason has had enough of Britney and is desperate to end the relationship. Jason has already had a meeting with Britney’s family and has told them his plans.
A source told the Hollyscoop website: “Jason has told Britney’s entire family that he’s planning to leave her, so that Britney will have a support system when he breaks the bad news. Jason is waiting for The X Factor to be over, because he and her whole family think Britney will take the news real hard, and would rather not have her deal with it while she’s trying to film the show. Jason wants to remain her manager after the break-up, so their relationship will become strictly business.”
Apparently, the inquest into the death of Amy Winehouse was overseen by a coroner who "lacked the proper qualifications", so the case will be heard again next month.
Assistant deputy coroner Suzanne Greenaway resigned last year after her qualifications were questioned.
A new hearing has been scheduled for January 8th.
Amy was found dead in her home at age 27. In the original inquest, she died of accidental alcohol poisoning.
Greenaway had been appointed an assistant deputy coroner by her husband. But she resigned after authorities learned she hadn't been a registered lawyer for five years as was required by the rules. She had practiced law for a decade in her native Australia.
