Advice for the Mommy? Email it to jackie@1003thepeak.com
I have 2 children, 19 & 1 yr old. I had my 19 yr old when I was only 17 and have started a new family and new life after many years of it being just "us". My husband's parents will be joining us for Christmas this year. My MIL sent me an email asking for a "small gift idea" since she's an "adult". She said she just wanted to get her a little something so she wouldn't be left out , but she is bringing an entire toy store for my baby!! How is that going to make my daughter feel on Christmas morning??? She is only 19, not 39. My husband says I am taking it too personally, but I am realy offended that I am opening my home up to them, but they will treat my daughter this way. I want to uninvite them, but they have plane tickets so it's too late for that. I thought about just buying extra gifts and putting their name on it, so she will never know. My husband says that will make it worse. What should I do?
