Sales on Cyber Monday were up 30% from last year setting a new record. According to a company that tracks sales at 500 top online retailers:
Online sales for department stores account for much of the boost and were up 43% over last year.
The iPad was the most popular item driving more than 7% of online shopping, more than any other tablet or smartphone. And more than 18% of consumers used a mobile device to visit a retail store online, while 13% used a smartphone or tablet to make a purchase.
