Two news co-anchors from a television station in Maine surprised viewers and colleagues when they quit on the air... blaming frustration with their management. Cindy Michaels and Tony Consiglio announced their resignations at the end their newscast on WVII. They didn't give specific reasons on the air for why they were leaving.

Consiglio said that they enjoyed reporting the news, but "some recent developments" had come to their attention and that departing together was the best alternative. Michaels plans to pursue a writing career and paint. Consiglio will continue his career "in a different capacity." Their boss claimed they had been on their way out the door anyway and wasn’t surprised by their actions.
