Coldplay Hits It Big:
Coldplay
's new album, Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends, has set a new one-day sales record at iTunes, according to Hits Daily Double. The group's fourth effort smashed Jack Johnson's previous record of 140,000 downloads in a single day and looked set to sell far more than the 200,000 originally predicted. The physical CD is projected to sell somewhere between 650,000 and 700,000 copies in its first week of release, easily making it one of the top-selling albums of what has been an otherwise desperate 2008 for the record industry.

Maroon 5:
Maroon 5
will re-release last year's It Won't Be Soon Before Long as a CD/DVD set on July 8. According to Billboard, the package will include four videos, a live concert filmed in Montreal and six extra songs, including the new Rihanna duet, "If I Never See Your Face Again."

A Little Personal History
Friday 06-20-2008 10:15pm MT
A little about me… well, I am a California native… Laguna Beach, CA.  Yeah, started surfing when I was 5.  Learned to waterski at that same age too, but not at the beach! I grew up in Prescott, AZ. What a great place to be a teenager! What a beautiful place. Then moved to Farmington, NM/Durango, CO when I was a senior in high school.  Man was I mad at my parents for moving me my senior year… but then I discovered all the great skiing and snowboarding there! I came to Albuquerque to go to school and just never left. I started in radio when I was in high school and have done it in some form ever since.  The Peak is one of my favorite stations tho… and I am not just saying that to suck up! Well, maybe … well not, but maybe! Arrrgggg it’s tough being blond!

You can hear me during the day on the weekends.  As the station’s token part-timer, I also fill in for the rest of the crew when they’re gone. When I am not doing fill in’s, I also do the Peak Snow reports Thanksgiving through Easter. Get all the latest info, here: http://www.1003thepeak.com/pages/snow.html). Of course in the off season, this page has the outdoor report. So check it out now for what you can do in the summer!
