Biography
SixMileBridge plays a unique brand of Celtic rock, thanks to influences that span an entire spectrum of other musical genres. Certainly the band's music reflects its traditional roots, especially when it covers songs like "Wild Mountain Thyme," and in light of songs like their ode to the Fenian uprising, "The West's Awake," both from the group's 1998 debut album, Across the Water. The band, however, offers plenty more than traditional music or songs dedicated to the past. The music of SixMileBridge offers diversity and gives more than a passing nod to the likes of the Cranberries, the Furey Brothers, Ashley Macisaac, and even B.B. King and an assortment of rock artists. The band has played a number of prominent events, among them New York City's St.
